Follow steps below to 2015 FVDI V6.3 Update:

Extract F07005” Zip File into desktop and then delete this zip file;

Open F07005 Folder and then run FWDownloader;

Open Computer Management, select Device Manager >> Port (COM & LPT), right click USBSerial Port (COM4) to choose Properties;

Reset 2002 Astra-G ECM Using OPCOM 2010V

OPCOM 2010V Can OBD2 is mainly designed for almost all Opel vehicles diagnostics, even new cars with CAN-BUS based diagnostic, such as Vectra-C, Astra-H and Zafira-B.

The following part is about how OPCOM 2010V Can OBD2 Opel reset ECM (Engine Control Module) for 2012 Astra-G. You need to set ECM back to its factory default state prior to have a replacement/resetting. Under this case, you can install it into another car.

Hook up OPCOM scan tool to your vehicle and laptop;

You can check that the vehicle is immobilizer equipped – the Immobilizer Function Programmed is grey or not;

Open up the Immobilizer;

Go to “IMMO2 Special Functions”, and you will see “Reset Engine Control Module” function is available;

Click on the button and the swap will start.

Important Note:

  1. After using this function, you may not be able to start the engine.
  2. Each factory default state Engine ECU has some limited running time without immobilizer (max 10 attempts to be exact). After that number, the Engine ECU will lock itself, and no more start is allowed without a fully functioning immobilizer.
  3. before you swap or replace any immobilizer related component (Engine ECU, Immobilizer ECU), you have to reset them first.

The arming of the immobilizer has some delay (usually 5-10 min), so within five or ten minutes, you may be able to start the car. But after this delay expires, you won’t be able to start the engine at all, as the immobilizer will lock the vehicle. An indicator light (SVS, or MIL) will be flashing on the dash, showing an immobilizer related problem.

Active Sound Design (ASD) Retrofit Procedure using ISTA Rheingold

I thought I’d post of this thread to share my progress on retrofitting Active Sound Design to my 2013 328i MSport.

To start off with I ordered the module. It has various part numbers, but apparently they are all the same: 65129352264*; 65129326555; 65129343317; 65129353021; 65129362445; 65129362445; 65 12 9 322 712 (03/12 -> ); 65 12 9 302 536 (03/12 -> 07/13).*

I could not get a part number for the connector so I will be making up my own.

Next up I got the pin assignments from ISTA Rheingold:

I then transposed all the pin assignments onto an image to make my life easier:

I then continued to only connect power and the CAN signal.

After this I flashed the ASD module. I used a modified FA where I changed the production code typekey to 3C17 to ensure it is a production code that included ASD.

Next thing I must connect the feed from NBT head unit and output to the AMP. I first need to spend some time to make proper connectors so will update all you guys once I progress further.

(Solved) Renault Trafic 2012 get engine management light on

Car model and year:

Renault Trafic 2012, 2.0 DCI m9r engine.I purchased it from auction damaged (on the side a little on the front) ex company fleet vehicle onon 87k miles.

Car trouble:

On the dash which says CHECK INJECTION! And CHECK EMISSIONS! With engine management light on. If i erase the codes they come back. The injection one does pretty quickly but the emissions one takes a few minutes more.

My analysis and speculation

Van had burst its rad in the collision so it had lost all its coolant. I was worried the driver at the time drove it on a empty coolant damaging HG and allowing water to gush into the egr cooler…etc..etc. But looking at when the fault occurred the driver seems to have driven just 2KM after the fault arised. The van has since only done that 2km. I’ve since fixed the radiator and as i say runs perfectly no other issues other than the damn errors on the dash.

Solution:

Clean the EGR and also the pipe that connects to it at 87k its probably due a clean.

Get Renault Clio diagnosed to fix airbag light

Renault Clio had been airbag on for about 6 months, but mot next week meant I had to sort this one out. Tried the under seat cable trick, no joy. Checked the ECU and there was some sign of liquid but not in the ECU itself. Took it to a garage for diagnosis and they use Renault Can Clip cleared the faults (25 quid), only 2 errors remaining were these:

B1036: passenger side impact sensor

B1035: driver side impact sensor

Turns out this is just a little plastic unit bolted underneath the seat (directly below door) with a cable connected. I went to the scrappy and got 2 of these (10 quid each), replaced old with new in 10 minutes (unhooked battery first) and the lights went out straight away, no need to do a further reset or anything.

My advice here would be if sorting the cables under the seat doesnt fix this issue, get it diagnosed. In my case I was ready to buy a whole new ECU, turns out that wouldn’t have helped at all.

Anyways, hope this info helps someone, all the best!

Good ECU Programmer Tool to read EDC17

Which EDC17 Reader works well for a good price?

BDM100, FGTECH 54, MPPS v16, kess v2.06 or any other tools/ solution is optional?

Let’s hear from some experienced ECU tunners.

–          For EDC16 iam using BDM100 from china.

–          I USE FGTECH 54 AND IS OK. no problem.

–          I read one EDC17 in Audi A4 with MPPS v16.

–          Another EDC17 I read in boot mode with galletto v54 good china clone… Do job perfectly.

When you have problem, just try this way: uninstall all fgtech software. Install basic version. Connect tool and give drivers. Unplug tool. Remove basic. Install Win7 version. Plug tool + drivers. Done.

–          I use the kess v2.06 reworked pcb and fw updated, like 2.08 what is available…is great tool, recently KESS FM V4.036 available, haven’t test it, but I think it will do. As told by eobd2.fr customer service, the older fw kess v2 is available to update firmware by returning back the main unit to them and charge $89, but the QC number has to be ended with 015.

–          I use byteshooter does most ecus obd2, inclusively edc17 first models until 2009, first generation. For late edc17 byteshooter reads very good on table, only resistor adding is needed. If you want good tool go Byteshoter. Never had issues with it. Galetto v54 reworked pcb works good too.

–          CMD CAN Flasher dont can read write all edc17 by obd, only a few.
